ONE OF THE ONES. For 11 years, Nike has turned to the Chinese Zodiac Calendar to inspire the annual creation of a unique Air Force 1. This year, Nike designers aligned Chinese culture to cosmopolitan aesthetics and added a touch of novelty to the nobility and greatness of the Dragon, bringing myth to the street. The Year of the Dragon AF1 Low Supreme is inspired by the Dragon Robe typically worn by emperors during important occasions as a sign of good fortune. A cloud-and-dragon pattern grace the tongue with a Dragon design on the black silk texture of the sides and upper. The cloud-and-bat pattern on the sole is another manifestation of the Dragon Robe. |
