Alpha Industries N-3B Parka

In 1959 Alpha Industries was granted their first contract with the Department of Defense and produced the N-3B parkas making it the first style ever produced for US Military. The N-3B was created to protect air force ground and crew members from the extreme cold weather climates. Originally manufactured in a midnight blue the jacket was later redesigned and produced in other colors and adopted by all other military branches. The N-3B is a USAF Snorkel parka featuring reinforced elbow patches, a full-length storm flap and inset knit cuffs for durability and protection against the elements. The N-3B parka’s nylon outer shell/polyester interlining ensures that no cold air seeps in.
